The gallery is not generally open to the public and as I am out of the office a good deal, viewing for serious clients is strictly by appointment only! CONSIGNMENT; Virtual consignment is welcome. If you prefer, your item can remain in your care and still appear on cuckoo-gallery.com (especially if it is large!) .In this gallery, the term " FINE ARTS" is pushed to the limit. Therefore, I am just as happy to accept a scale model Bentley, or the real thing!
Commissions vary according to the type of work. As a guide, paintings on actual display will attract a commission of between 10 to 15 %, according to size.
Although every effort will be made to accommodate up and coming artists, acceptance is at the discretion of the gallery. Virtual commission will be a standard 10%
Larger models/sculptures actually in the gallery will be charged at 33 1/3 %.
Commission on classic vehicles and musical instruments is by negotiation.
FURNISHINGS / DÉCOR / SCOURCING
Whilst I am not qualified as an interior designer and do not consider myself to be one, I have renovated various properties in Ireland, Australia and the USA ,some of which have been featured in magazine’s including SOCIAL AND PERSONAL and PERIOD LIVING. Rather than drawing up elaborate plans, thus forcing my tastes on the client, I prefer a more organic approach believing that a client deserves to live in a home that reflects their own personality rather than someone else’s! To me this more about dressing a room/house to suite the occupant.
The gallery has access to some of the finest artisans. Artists, restorers, upholsterers, experts on faux marble, wood, special effects, etc are available locally.
I am usually up to speed on the contents of the local auction house (galwayauctionrooms.com).
